John Dylan Keith

JDK is a musician, writer, and sound designer from Boston, Massachusetts. 

As a drummer/percussionist, he studied with William Winant and CK Ladzekpo at
UC Berkeley, and privately with Bob Gullotti.  He has played rock, pop, jazz, African, and chamber music with bands, songwriters, composers, and theater companies in Boston, New York, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area, touring the US and Europe.  He also studied piano with Rachel Z, and learned guitar on his own.  He is a multi-instrumentalist solo performer and composer of songs, instrumental music and scores for film/video and new media.

He has worked as an audio engineer and sound designer for audiobooks, CD-ROMs, web media, theater, museum tours, radio, film and TV.

Writing about recording technology for Tape Op Magazine led to writing about music technology, music, art and culture for trade magazines, alt weeklies, and literary journals.  He is currently writing a novel, and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
